A Fugitive's Journey

Maybelle hugged her Vulpix tightly to her chest. She was looking around warily, making sure no cops or investigators followed her from Johto. Maybelle wanted to hurry along quickly and stick to the backroads, away from busy towns and questioning people. Her first step was to get food and shelter in Pallet Town, then be on her way.

Suddenly a Cubone [Lvl 8] appeared, right in front of Maybell. It some-why seemed pretty mad, or he was just very cocky. Cubone raised his bone towards Vulpix and said. "Cu-Cubone." [Fight Me]. Cubone didn't pay much attention to the girl because the pokemon hated humans for something that they had done for him in the past.

Maybelle stared at the Cubone, and slowly put Vivi down onto the ground. She backed away, whispering "Ember". Vivi arranged herseslf into a battle pose, flames licking at her mouth.

As the Ember got closer to Cubone he started hitting the small Fire Balls. His speed was pretty high and he was able to knock the Ember and didn't gain any damage because he used his bone, not a part of his body. The bone got little dirty though. Cubone rushed towards Vulpix with an attempt to hit him with his club. He was using Bone Club [Move].

"Vivi! Watch out! Jump high into the air to avode Cubone's attack! Then while its readying itself, use Ember!" Maybelle yelled, backing up to give the battling Pokemon room to fight.

Cubone missed it's target. It quickly looked up to see the Vulpix but it was little too late. He took the hit by ember and closed his eyes because of the pain. He didn't let himself get scared and attempted to use another bone club.

"Wonderful, Vivi," says Maybelle, moving towards the shadows. She hopes to not attract attenton bby the battling Pokemon. "Vivi, try that jump move again to avoid the attack, then I want you to continually use Ember until Cubone becomes weak enough to capture. Go to it!"

Cubone heard the girl give commands but he didn't stop his attack. Cubone's attack hit the Vulpix and the fox pokemon flew about a meter away from the pokemon. Cubone waited for attack but saw that nothing happened and thus he attempted to use another bone club.

[Next time don't just give commands to your pokemon. You must also say that the Vulpix followed your commands, like (After hearing her trainer's commands the pokemon jumped into air and dodged the attack. Then the pokemon started using ember Cubone.) or something like that.]
